Maritime & Coastguard Agency

Her Majesty's Coastguard is a section of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency responsible, through the Secretary of State for Transport to Parliament, for the initiation and co-ordination of all maritime search and rescue within the UK Maritime Search and Rescue Region.

Cromer & Sheringham Coastguard

Cromer and Sheringham have their very own Coastguard Rescue Teams, made up of volunteers ready to drop everything at a moments notice to aid those in need on our beaches and coastal areas.

The Sea Safety Group

As from the 1st of September 2018, The Sea Safety Group became an “Association of Independent Coastwatch stations”. Volunteers give up a few hours a week to keep a visual watch on coastal waters in support of search and rescue operations.

 

Sheringham Tide Times

If you are a local resident, or visiting the area, it’s important to keep an eye on the tide times, so you know when high and low water is to help you keep safe.

RNLI Sheringham

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Powered primarily by kind donations, their search and rescue service has been saving lives for nearly 200 years.
Sheringham has it’s very own Lifeboat station, housing a B class Atlantic 75 lifeboat.
